Topic: The Importance of Big Data Analysis in the Digital Age
In today's digital era, we are confronted with a flood of data that far exceeds our traditional processing capabilities. This phenomenon, known as "Big Data", is a growing mass of information derived from our perceptions and stored in any available space.
To illustrate this concept, let's consider the story of BlackBerry, the world's first smartphone. BlackBerry initially dominated over 40% of the global communications market. However, it failed to anticipate the rapid evolution of technology and consumer expectations, which, coupled with competition from tech giants like Apple in Silicon Valley, led to its dramatic decline to zero market share. This case is detailed in the movie "Blackberry", released on May 12, 2023, in Canada, directed by Matt Johnson. The film narrates how communications evolved from being time-limited services (minutes of usage) to portable devices integrating data and multifunctional applications.
This example serves as a reflection on how analysts, thinkers, and programmers need to be prepared to handle and manage large volumes of information. Once data occupies the available space, its management becomes complicated, especially considering the costs associated with its storage and analysis.
Personally, I have always applied my analytical skills to guide people in various areas, particularly in health topics. I have helped many individuals manage health conditions considered incurable by others, through a comprehensive approach that uses multiple tools simultaneously. To draw an analogy, when reconstructing a house, it is not enough to have only some materials like tiles or nails; a complete range of tools and materials is required to effectively complete the construction.
Similarly, in treating diseases, it is insufficient to apply a single method or medication. A comprehensive strategy that utilizes all available resources is required. In my videos and articles, I strive to clearly explain these concepts, using everyday examples so that my audience can better understand and apply this knowledge in their lives.
Analyzing and understanding big data is crucial not only for business and science but also for improving our quality of life. As we practice and refine our analytical skills, our chances of success in this information-dominated era increase.
